1st vice assists the president with any initiatives the club will be undertaking.  First vice works with 2nd vice to develop a program of speakers and events for the club from Sept through June, booking speakers and activities for each of the monthly meetings.  The board decides which member speaker to approach and 1st or 2nd vice approach this member.  Each month members are asked by the 1st or 2nd vice to say grace, introduce the speaker and to thank the speaker.  1st vice solicits the membership to bring concerns or suggestions back to the president and the board to help the club to remain current with the needs of the membership and to assist in attracting new members and retaining current members.
